side grease cupThe front side grease catch needs work runs down the front of the legs and on my deck . The rail should be longer and the cup should be bigger to catch the grease. Also a stainless steal top would be a great up grade to buy. thanks mike

    • Hello Michael,
We are going to reach out to you via email. We have designed a grease key to help the grease go right down in to the cup. We will be sending you one at no charge.
Also, in reference to the stainless steel top, we tested one for several months and did not like it at all. It doesn't retain the heat consistently and everything stuck, making it very difficult to clean and cook with. The cold rolled steel style adds flavor to the griddle top, just like a cast iron pot or pan. We decided against the stainless top.

Love itThe only problem I have is that I can’t find where to get an extra grease cup! Mine came with a crack at the bottom and I use the tin liners. But I need a replacement cup

Usage: Griddle 90%, Grill 10%Well, I have been a griller and smoker for about 30 years. I was always fascinated with having a flat top, but never made the jump. I ran across Todd Toven videos on YouTube and started watching. Great videos. I was at a tournament and the "guy" at the snack bar was cooking burgers and pulled pork and chicken tacos all day on a 36" Blackstone. I think I talked to him for 3 hours while he cooked. It was awesome to see how versatile and how tasty the food was. I was convinced.

Now, what size.. My original thought was 28". Why would a family of 3 need any more than that. Well, Walmart had a sale going on the 36" rear grease system so I went for it. I am so glad I have the 36". It is not too big at all... perfect actually. And 4 burners for more control.

Fast forward... had the griddle for 8 months now. I cook on it most nights... even in the rain (in NorCal, so no snow). I only use my Weber 1-2 times a month now and only for slow cooking tri-tip, ribs or pork shoulder. The rest is on the Blackstone.

Whole meals are cooked on the griddle. Examples for us:
    * Salmon, brussel sprouts (halved) and new potatoes (quartered).
    * Chipotle chicken tacos with green peppers and onions and the tortillas too. Ok my salsa isn't made on the griddle. :) But I do griddle the avocado wedges. Fantastic!
    * Turkey burgers with buns, asparagus, and halved artichokes.

These are the top three requested by my family. But of course, burgers, breakfast for dinner and stir fry with fried rice.

It's amazing how much more my daughter is into finding new things to make/experiment with on the griddle. Got her using it (sometimes) now. I get lots of input from her though!

Bottom line, cooking is much more fun, more variety and rarely mess up the kitchen any more (yes I am a messy cook).

The griddle has been great. A little maintenance here and there. Oh and BTW, get the metal cover. Its great too...even in heavy rains. I also got (2 weeks ago) the natural gas conversion kit. That was the last piece of the puzzle for me. No more "Oh &@#!" trips to Home Depot to get another propane tank!

Can't believe I have missed out on griddling for so many years. Very happy with my purchase(s)!
