    By far, the best thing my money has bought in my 10+ years of pizza obsession. The oven is amazing. Cooks a perfect Neapolitan pizza in less than 85 seconds, has a perfect crust, and super easy to operate and maintain. I have to mention however, the extraordinary customer service. Mine had a misaligned shaft… they sent me a new one. My motor had a chipped gear tooth (after 2 years of hard work)… they sent me a new motor. Arrived the next day, just in time for the pizza party. No harassment on proof of purchase or warranty. If all other vendors would have 1/2 this quality of service, we would all be so much happier. Thank you Blackstone!

      Thank you for reaching out to us. We have not made any changes to the motor actually but we have designed a new rotating tray and shaft. It now has a bearing that rolls to assist the rotation therefore not putting as much pressure on the motor. This has been about 8 months ago. The warranty is 1 year from the date of purchase.

    We received our pizza oven as a gift and were totally amazed at how delicious the pizzas are that this oven produces! Unfortunately, we are having a couple of issues with the oven and are looking for some support so we can get back to it! First, our stone does not rotate evenly which seems to be causing the pizza to burn. Second, the stone has cracked and we are not able to use it at this point. Do you have any suggestions for us?       Can you email me directly? The tray can have a variance of 1/4 – 1/2 inch as it rotates. If it is more than that then it could put strain on your motor. We can easily replace the stone.     I bought this about 6 months ago! so far GREAT!!! We love to make pizzas fast! I make my own dough and the kids love it! It does take some time to adjust the temperature- but once you get it down its a snap!! I have a laser temperature reader to check temp on stone. using a pizza peel to slide pizza in is great using cornmeal or semolina flour. I have a Wood fire Pizza Oven- but lazy at times to start that one up. I just use the Black stone, motor going great, stone great shape. Love it!!! of course perfect pizza takes lots of practice so be patient.

      I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. We are currently in the process of getting our parts on the website. The regulator needs to have the red dial turned all the way to the right and then back to the left a turn and a half to “open it” for the correct gas flow.     First off, we really do love our black stone patio oven, we just wish it still worked well. It worked great and made amazing pizza for about 7 months and now it is falling apart!

    The mechanism that turns the stone has been making a funny sound and now it’s not turning at all. We changed out the batteries and that did not solve the problem.

    Now the stone cracked and the tray the stone sits upon has started to droop, which is probably part of the reason the stone cracked.

    This oven is not that old and we are so bummed! We love the pizza this oven makes, best in town! I sent a couple of emails to Blackstone and have not heard back. I would love to learn how I can get replacement parts. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

    Any help is appreciated.

    3 out of 5 Great when it works...but doesn't last long

    The first time I used the grill, it was awesome. I use it to make traditional Neapolitan pizza, so the temperature needs to be over 800 degrees, which this grill does easily (can even do 900-1000). However, after the second use the stone cracked right down the middle. (my brother bought one also and this happened to him too) After about two months the grill started to make loud creaking sounds while it turned, almost like it needed grease and a couple weeks later the motor turning the stone completely failed. You can’t use it without the turning mechanism because the burner is only on one side, which make the metal red hot on that side… I’m not sure what the warranty is, but now I have to figure out what to do with this thing – it’s only been 4 months and totally shot.

      Pietro, I am so sorry to hear that this happened. I promise this is not the norm. We will gladly replace the motor and the broken stones. Please email us directly support@blackstoneproducts.com attn: VENESSA and I will handle it personally. I have had my oven for 4 years now and we use is constantly (as well as loaning it out frequently). It just sounds to me like the motor could have had a cracked gear in it that has now broken completely. Same with the stone, if it has a hairline crack, it will usually crack all the way in the first few times of use. We sell tons of Patio Ovens and I replace very few stones. I will watch for an email from you to hopefully change your opinion, experience and whatever else that made you feel we only deserved 3 stars. Sincerely, Venessa

      No there is not currently. I have heard from customers that if you drill the orifices which are in the valves to the correct size for natural gas then any standard conversion kit will work.       The stone is 16.5″ round. I would recommend 15″ or smaller just so the edges are not too close to the flame.

FAQ's

Q: I hear a clicking sound coming from my motor. What does that mean and what should I do?
A: This means your motor has a broken tooth inside. Please contact Blackstone products for replacement motor.

Q: How much variance can the rotating tray at have as it goes around in a circle?
A: ¼ to ½ of an inch variance in the rotating tray is fine. If over that you may need a new replacement rotating tray.

Q: Do I need to season the stone?
A: No, you do not. You cook pizza directly on the stone it will darken.

Q: What can I do if my stone is black and I wanted to clean again?
A: The black is not harmful to you it is simply stone seasoning over time. However, you may carefully flip the stone over before use the other side that is clean. You may also turn the oven on with the motor rotating the tray at a higher temperature to burn off the excess char.

Q: What do I do if I have accidentally broken my stone?
A: New stones can be purchased by calling our customer support at (435) 252-3030 ext#1.

Q: How does this adjustable regulator work?
A: The regulator that comes with the Blackstone patio oven is a high-pressure regulator. To open the gas flow, turn the red knob all the way to the right then back approximately 1 1/2 turns. The red knob allows you to adjust the flame more precisely.

Q: Is the Blackstone Patio Oven a portable?
A: Yes, the Blackstone oven is portable as it has wheels. Also, there are pushpins to release the body from the legs making it able to be transported into separate pieces.

Q: What is the best way to keep my pizza from sticking to the peel?
A: We recommend dusting the bottom of the dough lightly, as well as the pizza peel, with your choice of flour, semolina, or corn meal. This allows the pizza to freely slide around on the pizza peel and not stick.

Q: How long does it take to cook a pizza?
A: We have found a pizza cooks in just under three minutes. This depends on the type of pizza you’re cooking. i.e. A thin crust pizza will require less time than a deep-dish pizza.

Q: Why is the pizza not cooked all the way through before the crust begins to burn?
A: We recommend you preheat your Blackstone Patio Oven with the motor on turning the tray for approximately 10 minutes prior to cooking your pizzas. This heats the stone all the way through as well as gives the upper stone time to heat through as well. Keeping your Patio Oven set at a consistent temperature will help with this also. You can cook pizzas at any temperature however, keeping it between 350-450 degrees (on the temperature gauge) consistently works very well.

Q: If the temperature gauge on my oven says 350°, what is the actual temperature in the oven?
A: This varies as the oven functions in a convectional type manner. The stone can be one temperature of the air can be a separate temperature, but usually close to double inside the Patio Oven.

Q: What is the warranty for my pizza oven?
A: As of January 1, 2017, your Blackstone pizza oven has a one year warranty.
