Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour; 2 teaspoons sugar; 2 teaspoons baking powder; ½ teaspoon salt; ½ teaspoon black pepper; ½ teaspoon garlic powder; 2 tablespoons cornmeal; 2 ½ cups yellow onion, finely chopped; 1 cup whole milk; 10-15 dashes hot sauce

2 teaspoons sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons cornmeal

2 ½ cups yellow onion, finely chopped

1 cup whole milk

10-15 dashes hot sauce

Directions

Heat Blackstone griddle to medium-low heat.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, diced onions, and corn meal in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until completely incorporated.

Mix in milk and hot sauce. Stir for 2 minutes until a thick batter is created.

Drizzle oil onto the griddle. Drop ¼ cup spoonful's of the batter directly onto the griddle.

Cook until both sides are golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
